It's not safe on a real device. You can *always* make HostControl functions when
running under Poser, even when emulating 1.0 devices. So if you *know* that your
application will only be running on Poser, then you can safely make any
HostControl function call -- including the one that says whether or not you're
running under Poser.  :-)

Is it not safe to call HostControl calls on a pre-3.0 OS running under
Poser,
or is it just not safe on the real device?
