The NOTES.TXT file states that this was a feature added to POSE release
2.1d22. What is the above feature and how can it be accessed? Or do I need
to code such a feature? If so, I could use ever-so-little guidance.

I did make note of that from the POSE ERS document, but I didn't want to
include the HostControl header, nor did any particular function seem
appropriate at first glance.
Thanks for everyone's response. I was surprised such information wasn't in
the FAQ.
