Actually, it has been possible to do this since at least CW rel 4, if not
even earlier.  It's a language called Rez.  The language, originally from
Apple's MPW, is documented in _Building and Managing Programs in MPW_,
located somewhere on Apple's dev site.

There is also a Rez source file, called palmtype.r, located somewhere (on
Palm's site?) that gives the structure for many common GUI items.  I don't
know whether it's regularly updated and/or supported.

Sorry for not having locations.  If you can't locate them, I'll see if I can
find URL's or I'll send them to you offlist.

I've also heard weird rumors that CW was going to have their own ASCII
resource language, but that might be 100% false.
