If you change to the large code model, you may also
need to change to Far Data and Far String Constants.
When I changed to the large code model, my program
failed until I made the other changes.
Also, be sure your segments are all under 64K. I had
great difficulty with this. Very great difficulty -- Metrowerks
and/or Palm should re-evaluate their documentation.
I added new segments in
the main project window, but that wasn't enough. Thanks
to advice I got on this list, I was able to finish switching
to multiple segments. In the 68K Linker part of the
project settings dialog, check the box for generating
a link map. This will tell you the real size of your
segments, not the wishful-thinking size that's shown
in the main project window. If you only have one
segment, you need to uncheck the Link Single Segment
box in the 68K Linker part of the settings dialog.
Hamish's advice about changing the runtime library
is also essential.
Good Luck!
