Just a quick note...
You'll need to search on titles in the KB to get any results for "Seeing Gray".
The next revision of the KB will include a title searche in all search types.
I'm just waiting for Allaire to release CF 4.5 before I roll it out.

Probably your device is still in 1-bpp mode. You can't draw a 2-bpp bitmap
unless the screen is also in (at least) 2-bpp mode.
Go to the palm website (www.palm.com), click on the 'devzone' link, click
on the 'knowledge base' link, and type "Seeing Gray" (or maybe it's "Grey")
into the search window. Hit search. Read the resulting article -- it will
answer all your questions.
