If you go to Symbol's website at www.wymbol.com, go to the support and
then download sections you'll find help on this. Using the tools that
Symbol provides, you can configure your own ROM image without any of
the built-in applications at all. You could also certainly change the
behavior of a sync operation, or what application runs as the "launcher"
as well.
Don't expect to do all this with a $79 add-on and no development
support however. You are going to have to get your hands dirty, and
you'll need to set your customer's expectations that 12 hours is
not a reasonably turn-around time from first thought to product.
This forum, as any other, can respond well to the occasional crisis
posting, but as a sage project manager will tell you, "Lack of
planning on your part does not make for a crisis on my part."
