Very acceptable!
This is a single threaded OS so you don't have to worry about any
storage contention. For example, Datastick Connection can export its
measurements to the MemoPad database or a DOC database so you can work
with the data in a common format. We have never received any complaints
about this feature. In fact, many complements were received since other
software packages such as spreadsheets and text editors can work the
data now.
My advise is that you need to know the format very well so you don't
write anything that breaks the other application. Also, when you are
altering a database of another creator ID, just make sure you have the
user know that this was done by you app. in its UI.
