I found the same thing. > Really annoying. Actually, as someone else explained, the -file- name is -not- the problem. The -database- name is the problem. The file name is "xxx.prc", but the database name is contained inside the file in the prc header. You can rename xxx.prc to yyy.prc without affecting the name by which it will be know on the Palm device (the database name). There is a tool for the PC called "PAR" which lets you look at and modify the PDB file headers, including the database name. -- -Richard M.
