Nope. Close, though.
It is true that there's a hardware misc flag that tells if the device has
software adjustable _brightness_. (Note: not contrast.)
However, I'm unclear on the supported-ness of the hardware flags. I
suspect that we do actually support these, but it's not my area. (That is,
I'm not _personally_ doing anything to make sure all these flags have the
same meanings in the next release...)
