Hey!  It wasn't me--I was misquoted.  My message says:

I mentioned nothing of globals (actually, originally I was also going to 
point people to SystemMgr.h, which had the definition of the feature, but I 
thought there was enough of a description in HwrMiscFlags).

...not that I haven't been known to do some pretty unsupported stuff in my 
time (sometimes there's just no way around it), but this wasn't one of 
them...
