designing a palm OS device

I have used a palm III for email for a while and I was wondering if:

1) There is a Palm OS device on the market that has a more traditional
wide display similar to some of the Windows CE units available?

2) If not, how hard would it be to design one (with a built in
keyboard). In other words, would the OS accomodate a wider screen or
would Palm have to update the OS?
