That's correct, the old PalmRez post linker didn't understand color and
thus color images won't make it into a prc.  You must use the new tools if
you want them to create color objects.

As for the other problems people are having: sounds like there might be a
configuration of Windows that makes the color icons not work properly
(using Win98 in 16 bit color?)  But the editors do work, quite reliably, at
least for me on my NT box with 16 bit color.  (And yes the UI is a bit
strange, but we wanted to get it working, rather than take time to redo the
UI at this point.)
