I have been away for a while so forgive me if this topic was already
discussed.
I would like to do the following and am looking for VERY basic information
on the "how-to". I'm completely new in this area and don't have an idea if
this can be done:
I would like to use a PalmV or PalmIIIc to grap some stock values out of the
internet.
I do have the need to communicate with the palm device via infrared with a
mobile phone from Nokia (7110) and to establish a connection to the
internet. I need to grap a specific site, download this to the device and
hang up.
Now I want to analyze the site's content to get the stock figures out of
that.
The customer can decide to buy/sell stock papers and then place his orders
back to the internet.
Is there anybody out there who can point me to the basics of how to do such
a thing?
Especialy I'm in the need of the following:
- Make use of the "IR/Connection" (to be configured as a modem) or
- manual IR communication to the mobile phone
- Once the commu to the mobile phone is done: How do I establish a specific
internet connection to a known provider with a known account?
- How do I surf to a specific site (URL)?
- How do I download the site (html-file)?
- how do I hang up?
- how do I upload data to a html site that has a "form" on it ?
Any help, pointers, web sites, comments are highly wellcome.
