I used to feel that way and as such I've stuck with Installshield
Express until just recently. What I found was that I was using
ODBC MDAC/Dao more frequently and Express is just a
bit to close to hit & miss in those areas. Accordingly I
got hold of a trial version of IS 6.1 and was converted.
Apart from the much greater control, Dao etc and the ability to
write my own objects the feature that really sold me was the
Dependency Builder. Cost was a factor but I figured at roughly
400 pound sterling that'll easily be written off in time saved over
the next few months.
Now if you want to talk about over-priced software (although the
price is mitigated by the same argument I use above) lets
talk about Satellite Forms......
