sure.  the minstrel from Novatel provides a "real" ip stack and address via
the wireless provider such as AT&T...

There are many options. In addition to OmniSky, there's a number of ways to
connect to cell phones (cables and IR) though figuring out who does what is
a bit of a problem. There's also the pdQ phone which is the only integrated
device that does TCP/IP. I expect the number of options, speed and
affordability of doing TCP/IP will be greater and greater over time.
