This is something I've wanted to see for a while and there is a promise of
springboard module for the visor that will do it.. but I would love to see a
pager like device that connected to the palm's serial port like the modem
does now. If it is not connected when it receives a page, it has an led that
blinks to let you know it has data.. if it is connected, it turns on the
Palm and pops up the message... of course including beep and vibrate modes..
this has to be possible because the HotSync button turns on the palm... so
why has no one done this? This imaginary device would, of course, support
two way paging as well... (and before folks start talking about JPSystem's
infrared beam link with certain two way pagers, I know.. I'm talking about
something smaller and more integrated).
