John,

Check to be sure you are debugging to the right COM port
(Edit-Preferences-Palm Connection Settings). On your device, do a find,
enter "shortcut dot dot" and then hold the up button. You will hear the
clicking you talked about. Then enter your "2", the Find window should now
have nothing in it (no Graffiti up arrow or anything), and click OK on your
machine. You should still be holding down your up button, and the .prc
should download. Once you see the source code window on your machine, you
can let go of the up button, and proceed with your debugger session.

Make sure you don't have Constructor or HotSync running when you do this.
If you continue to have problems, see if you can put your .prc file on the
emulator. If you can, then your .prc is valid enough to be debugged to the
device. Post back with details about your machine if you're still having
problems.

Thanks,
hkmlt

Also if you are debugging to a Handspring unit, hold down the up Arrow
before
you enter the '2' and keep it held down till the program is downloaded and
the debugger is started.
>> Actually, I *am* debugging with a Visor, so it was helpful that you
pointed out
the page-up key, but I still get "Failed to Connect to Remote" errors in the
CW IDE.

I am using the 'Find' dialog to get into the debug mode. When I'm pressing
the up-arrow
key, I just get that invalid-keystroke sound from the device.
