There was an app released some time ago (maybe an earlier version of Backup
Buddy?) that automatically performed a Hotsync at some pre-determined time.
The idea was you left the Palm in your cradle with your PC/Mac left on and
it would trigger an alarm, then start the Hotsync. The problem I ran into
was I didn't know this and the app defaulted to perform this act at
midnight. I went through several sets of batteries rather quickly before I
figured it out.
If you do a hard reset, do you still notice a slow down? I should be easy
to check, perform a hard reset and roll the clock back/forward. If it
doesn't slow down, check which apps you had installed.
