I am not sure about that one. However, we do programming on Symbol units
here and with two identical units (Symbol SPT1700 with 8Meg), the flash ID
is different.
I am not sure of the reaction if you flash it with another device's ROM.
This we can leave for Palm people to answer.

The only question I have about the flash ID is that, effectively,
if you were to use RomTransfer to obtain a flash rom of a unit, then
use a reflashing utility (such as the one TRG sells) to kind of
"clone" one unit into another (like a cell phone, kind of), does
it increment or change the ID in any way? I guess, is it a static
part of the flash, or is the number located elsewhere on the unit
(besides the ROM or Flash RAM)?
