You can if you're only developing for a particular model, such as the
Symbol models, or whatnot. Anyhow, according to Collin and others, you
can also control the usernames on a unit by programmatically reassigning
them. It's too bad that Palm and it's licensees haven't worked out a
simple hardware standard for unique unit ID's yet, because it'd be a
great tool for cpy potection and unit control.
