That actually sounds promising, although I am concerned again with HotSync
zeroing out any deallocated memory. Part of the reason I'm trying to dump
the ram is because someone dumped sensitive information to their palm off a
PC, destroyed the PC drive (see also: sledgehammer + harddrive = ouch) and
then tried to delete it from the palm but did not completely succeed. Part
of it is still there and accessible from the palm pilot. We are hoping that
some of the other data is sitting intact (but deallocated) in the memory.
But, again, HotSync will try to be helpful and zero it out. Which we don't
want to have happen. But I will make some ROMs and try it out. If you
could provide a link to the site where Pilot-Link's WinNT port is located I
would be most appreciative. Thanks.
