IMHO the user interface (and certainly searching, even when
the search engine was broken) is better on the escribe archive
(<http://www.escribe.com/computing/pcpqa/>) than on egroups.

I used to wish Palm would host a reliable web archive itself instead of
depending on these nasty ad supported leech sites.  But now that there's
a halfway reasonable nntp version (<news://news.palmos.com/> -- but it's
less reasonable now that it wants authentication) which can be searched
effectively with a reasonable newsreader (see the headers of this posting
for what I think a reasonable newsreader is), I don't care any more.

Perhaps you would prefer one of these other options too.
