I'll second that Brain! This newsgroup is really starting to show some signs of
technical and professional maturity. The PalmOS is
moving into mainstream and as a result, every Johnny Come Lately is coming into this
after knowing it is a "safe" move. Just the
amount of calls from recruiters who actually know what the PalmOS is tells me that the
platform has made it.

With this comes every Visual Basic coder that wants the whole thing spoon fed to them
as their MIS vassal grows. While I applaud
anyone who takes the initiative to learn and code the PalmOS, the community does not
own any of them a handout that would eventually
stifle their own professional and technical growth. This is the cost for being career
conservative and moving into this specialty
so late.

Personally, I was ostracized from some very big Windows developer cliques here in
Silicon Valley after publicly stating three years
ago that WinCE was going to fall on it face and compared it to IBM's TopView project.
That move has paid off big and I am reaping.
