The earlier 3.3 upgrade itself, or the new 3.5 Vx upgrade (the free
3.5 upgrade - follow the links) includes a rom image *and* a
programming tool. I think it is called "palm updater".
First, backup *everything*. I'd use backupbuddy or pilot-xfer. If
you are using FlashPro, you need to move the apps to ram and back them
up.
I think the updater will install its 3.5 Vx image by default (as there
is only one it likely works with the V - the 3.3 updater was the same
- if it is still there), or you can click the advanced button and put
the Palm into debug mode (pagedown - reset, you get a flashing box in
the UL corner), and just follow the instructions.
But if it is the President of your company, why not just get a new Vx?
It's faster, has more space, comes with 3.5, and you don't have to
worry about violating any licenses.
