RsrcEdit will write the resources back to the file, so if it's in ROM I'd
expect it to bomb!
I don't know whether Palm OS will detect overlays for the built-in apps. You
could build your own copy from the source provided, make your changes with
Constructor, use the PRC2OVL tool and install the overlay to see whether it
takes ...
