There is a chapter about localizing Palm applications in the
Documentation("Palm OS Companion"). However, this doesn't explain how to
enable your program to use DBCS.
Enabling your program to store and manipulate double-byte characters is not
unique to the Palm. There are no tools, that I know of, that you need. It
is simply a programmatic task that you must do. You may want to check out
www.unicode.org for more comprehensive information.
I do know that Palm defines a wide character(wchar) and supports Unicode.
Good luck.

Subject: Localization question
I'm trying to find some articles to help me figure out what's involved in
localizing a product.
All I've seen is multi-byte (MBCS) stuff, but nothing on double-byte (DBCS),
which I remember
was something that went with Japanese localization.
I can't find anything helpful from PalmOS, other than the generic, make sure
you're strings are
in resources, leave space in the UI, etc.
What about the tools?
I'm new to the PalmOS dev environment (coming from the MS supported Windows
env), so
would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction(s)?
Thanks in advance.
