Yes, there's a Mac version, and yes, IMHO it's well worth it (but you
should know that in general I ALWAYS want to upgrade my tools to the
latest version. Others may have different opinions.) I've been using
it for about a week now, and it feels quite stable. There are some
cool new search features (though they separated "Find" and "Find in
Files", which will take some getting used to for me), and in general
I'm really happy with it. YMMV.
The only annoying thing I've found so far is that when starting a
debug session with POSE, there's this little dialog that comes up
asking you how you want to debug: Local Macintosh or PalmOS. I don't
have a clue what it's asking me, I've already set the project up for
POSE, and I can't find a way to make this dialog stop coming up.
Hving to grab the mouse and do a couple of clicks to start debugging,
I fear, is going to get seriously annoying very quickly.
In fact, I can't even find any mention of it in the docs: if I knew
what it was asking me, maybe I'd be more tolerant :-) I only know
that picking Local Macintosh doesn't work, and picking PalmOS does
(learned by trial and error).
Metrowerks folks: can you illuminate this for me? Even better, can
you tell me how to make it stop coming up altogether?
Aside from that small nitpick, though, I recommend it.
