Yes, it is possible that the cradle isn't working properly, or the cable
isn't working properly, or the handheld isn't working properly, since all
three have been present each time it didn't work. Since HotSync starts on
the handheld, but it never finds the PC, the odds are high that some
connection is broke. The best thing to do at this point is to borrow a
cradle from someone and test it with that.
