This really isn't the proper forum for making comments about support issues
with MS, but to set the record straight: I have been a software developer
and computer consultant for 20 years. In this time, I have had many chances
to deal with the customer support departments of all of the major software
companies. Microsoft is one of the very best when it comes to providing
support. Once you pay for support, they will keep working with you until
your problem is solved. Shortly after your issue is marked "solved" by the
support engineer, his supervisor will call you to make sure your problem
really was solved, and to make sure you are happy with the result. This is
many orders of magnitude better than the complete lack of response described
in the recent posts by Robert McKenzie and Dave Lippencott.
Now, don't start flaming me for saying bad things about Palm -- I have only
good things to say about Palm. I have never personally experienced
difficulties like McKenzie and Lippencott, and as you all know, this forum
is an excellent place to receive most of the help any Palm software
developer will ever need.
