What's wrong with just ignoring the "urgent" messages if you don't want to
read them?
I don't read them very much, but sometimes I'll respond to one, because I
know I've been in some urgent situatins myself in the past.

Personally Dave, I feel the same way. This is a newsgroup thread and not a
consulting group. Frankly, if you want me to jump to
answer something this "URGENT", then I'll start to invoice that person at my
