1. If you right-click the HotSync icon on the taskbar (Windows)...
which is checked: "Local USB", "Local Serial", "Modem", or "Network"?
2. If you right-click the HotSync icon on the taskbar (Windows), then select
"Setup" and click the "Local" tab...
is COM1 selected for the serial port?
3. Does COM1 work with anything else? (For example, your mouse?)
