Hi all! I'm having a rather perplexing problem that I can't solve. I started trying to solve this because I work for Franklin Covey in their technical support dept. (doing programming on the side) and we started getting an influx of calls from people who've been synchronizing just fine for a long time, then all of a sudden when the hotsync program tries to identify the user, it can't. The user name field is blank. I've seen this happen usually when people replace the batteries on their palm, but it's also happened randomly where just out of the blue it happens. There was one case where one person had 2 palms. Both palms worked just fine, then out of the blue the 1st palm had this error occur, and the 2nd palm was still fine. Other variations are where a person will synchronize just fine to one computer, have it stop with this error, go to another computer, have it work fine then quit after awhile, etc. I've tried looking at programming manuals, on Palm's website and various other websites devoted to programming for the Palm OS. I've found lots of useful information for making Palm applications, but nothing I've come across addresses this problem I've encountered. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
