Larry,
I think that the 16 character limit is a feature.
Either I read it somewhere or I got e-mail form Palm
about this being a feature. I believe that this
justification is to prevent filling up a memo with
junk if you put something on your keyboard.
The "oops I went to far" bug has annoyed me as well.
I would suggest that you contact Palm support about
this.
Now here is a bug that I have been having. Open up an
memo and type "1234567890" and then enter. Now type
"12345678901234567890". Don't hit enter but press the
up arrow. Now press the left arrow and see that the
cursor does not move left. You have to press the left
arrow key nine or ten times to get it to work. It
appears that the driver does not understand where it
should be. I e-mailed Palm about this and they gave
me the typical response to install the 1.2 driver.
Well, my e-mail mentioned that I had the 1.2 driver
installed. I then e-mailed them back and asked them
to _read_ my e-mail with the detailed description on
how to reproduce the bug. Well, this morning, I got
e-mail form them to return my keyboard since it is not
working correclty. I find this hard to believe given
the nature of the bug. Could you try to reproduce
this for me on your keyboard as well? If it happens
on yours, I'll e-mail Palm once again.
Thanks for hearing me out.
