I've been using the Xircom Palm wireless adapter and the Xircom SpringPort
module. I've tested both at Dartmouth's wireless LAN and my own Airport network
at home.

Both work pretty well. I've used Handpring's Blazer as a web browser, and I've
been happy with the speed. If there is any limitation, my guess would be it's
the Palm's processor, not the network speed.

As for opinions on the Xircom's, they are pretty good. There are still some
wierd bugs in the firmware, that I hope they fix soon. Right now, if you try and
access a wireless network that's 2-wide (subnet mask of 255.255.254.0, you can't
contact anything off the subnet. Single wides and 4-wides work fine.

My other complaint is with the Xircom Palm module. The form factor is too big
for connecting to the thinnest palm on the market. Also, if they were going to
make it that big, they should have at least filled it with more battery. 2 hours
of use isn't enough to make it through an 8 hour work or school day.
