Roger, don't they already handle the case of "multiple" for the decimal point? (in my app number fields allow only one). Sure, in that case they don't have to worry about the position, but it can't be that hard to limit it to the first character!? Adding a pair of push buttons or some other widget (poplist) would make it a bit more kludgy for keyboard users (e.g., Treo) to enter their information, wouldn't it?
