*goes back, rereads mark's post, and discovers that on craig's 2 hrs of sleep last nite, he misread "tendency to insist on" as "tendency towards" - yeah, yeah, i know...*
But I still stand behind my whole pride argument. :-) Let's say you finish your very own, personal, killer app - you put your heart and soul into this app, it's been your baby for x number of (insert time frame here), so on and so forth. You think you finally have it finished, all the kinks worked out, and it's the end of your day - let's say 5pm, since I'm not sure what regular hours are in other countries. So you set gremlins to run from gremlin a to gremlin b, changing after c events, and stopping after d events, a b and c being whatever you want and d being the number of events you can run from 5 that evening to 905 the next morning. You come into work the next day, 900 as usual, and see the gremlins are still running. 5 minutes later, they stop - no errors, no glitches, no snags, no nothing. I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty damn proud. :-) Joe Malone <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > --- Craig Belson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > If you ask me, I think it's more of a pride thing > - > > "Yeah, I'm so good at writing code, even Gremlins > > can't break it..." > > I can't believe you're serious. > > With very few exceptions, if gremlins crash your > app, it's broke and it > needs fixin'.
