Hello, I am developing a sled module for the 505/515 series of devices. The sled receives and sends basic serial data at 19200 baud.
The sled works with no problems on the 515. But on a 500 and 505 only sending data works. The Palm cannot receive any of the sent data from the sled. 1) I've tested this problem on different 505's and 515's. It is not related to my individual device. 2) The software test I'm doing works fine on both the 505 and 515 when I connect to a similar piece of hardware via a Palm serial cable. The problem only appears when I put the hardware in a sled and connect to it via the universal connector. 3) I am a member of plugged in and have verified my pins with the documents on that site. 4) I have verified with a protocol analyzer that data is really being sent by the hardware. I wondering if there is some other electrical requirement that I am not fufilling, and that somehow causes a bug to appear on the 500/505. Has anyone encountered any similar problems? Any ideas why the transmission would work correctly on a 515 but not on a 500/505?
