I just read this book as well as Neil Rhodes (and Julie McKeehan)'s book
last week in preparation for the Palm Powered Certified Developer Exam.
While much of the information was a rehash for me (I've been doing Palm
OS development for 6 years now), it did cover some topics and point out
a few things that I didn't know. However, I did find some errors, for
instance, on page 804, it says (in reference to the Treo Rocker Switch):

"Given that there is no way to tell whether a vchrPageUp or vchrPageDown
character came from the Rocker Switch or from the scroll buttons, the
Rocker Switch is more useful for scrolling data than it is for selecing
data." This is not correct as there is a call HsEvtMetaEvent which can
tell you if the vchrPageUp/Down came from the rocker or the hard buttons.

In addition, like all published books, it is outdated. The references to
Palm OS 5 are all theoretical as the book says that no OS 5 device is on
the market.

Overall, I think that it is a good book, especially for reference. It is
definitely more complete than Neil's book.
