Actually, the memo remains editable up to 4,096 bytes. Anything
greater than that is not editable, but can still be created on the device,
up to 65,490 bytes in size. I regularly send memos to my device (using the
standard Memo application, no third-party tools, applications, or hacks)
that are 30-40k in size, for read-only use.
