I had to use the prc-tools stuff for a PalmOS programming talk at BorCon last year, and the palaver I went through to get everything installed (and then get it working with C++BuilderX). Nightmare. And then there was the horror that is a makefile :-) I'd forgotten how bad they could be. Cygwin is a complication I could do without, frankly, as I can't see how it benefits me at all, and it was a major contributor to the installation problems I had.
