Hye Allen,

I'm working in a similar task. By my luck we wrote us application in CASL so will not chagen so much. But you will work a lot...

All code parts covered by API PalmOS will need change. You will need take another tools to work with PPC. In Microsoft site you could download MS eMbedded Visual C++( a tool kit for PPC development), and PocketPC SDK. I recoment that you donwload the 2002 version because have much solutions and inssues convering it. And you could take much help in MSDN and documentation of SDK. But this doesn't come with you download SDK. You need download it manually.
But to find any information and help in MS( MSDN or documentation of SDK) will not so easy like in Palm. Looks like that MS does everything to make hard to know its products. I think so maybe it's because MS prefer offen to sell tranning that to give free knowledge by its development.

That's it.

Subject: Converting Palm App to Win CE App
Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2004 10:23:13 -0500

All,

I recently wrote a Palm App that met with much success here at work. Now they want me to convert it to run on a Pocket PC, Ugh! I am not thrilled, but hey, I do what I'm told. Has anyone had any experience with doing this? I programmed the code using GCC, pilrc, and Palm SDK 5. I am concerned that I will have to start from scratch because of the differences in the API and the Palm Memory Functions. If anyone has any suggestions, or even if I am correct that I will have to write a different app, I would greatly appreciate a response.

Thank you,
