I would just re-write your Palm application using C# and VS .Net on the compact framework. Especially if it is a business type app and doesn't need to be ultra fast. That's what I'm doing. I find the compact Framework easy enough to program. I wrote a class that allows me to read pdb files in .Net, so I'm using the same database files.
