Aaron,

I'm not being flippant -- is it really that easy?!?! That would be very
cool. I agree with your comments about creating a truly portable code-base,
but I would be interested in doing a quick-and-dirty port to the PPC first,
get it released, and then worry about a more generic port. While I hadn't
considered that before, if the PalmOS and PPC functions pretty much line up
one-to-one and it would only take a few weeks to do a port, I would consider
it. Manoel, if this is what you have written and will be distributing, that
would be great!

These are good questions, but TBO my biggest concern would be introducing a
new, 3rd party API into my development environment. E.g., I honestly could
not have created my app without the support of the developers in this group.
But, if I switch over to SHARK, is there going to be the same type of
community of developers? I checked out the discussion board at your web
site, and it is very quiet -- is there a forum somewhere similar to this
one? Also, I would like to look at the API reference manual before
considering switching over, but I don't see any documentation for
downloading at the site. The site is a little sparse in terms of
information and documentation in general, which makes me a little nervous.
I'm not trying to be critical, it's just I've been burned in the past by
committing to an API that was not well supported, developed, and
distributed. So, I need to be assured that SHARK is all of these.
Otherwise, any time saved developing can be easily lost.

Unrelated to these topic, I see that plain ol' Windows is not one of your
Published Platforms. That would be very cool if the code could compiled to
run on the desktop -- making it easy to develop a desktop companion app.

Thanks,
Rich
