It succeeds on all palm pilots, it fails on tungstons, sony clie. It never starts up, because it causes the crash on installation. It never installs the program, or if it does, it leaves some tungstons unable to boot up without a hard reset.

Sony Clie (TG50)? What operations are carried out at start-up? Do you register for notifications (eg, I had a crash on startup caused by saving a connection profile that worked fine on some devices and crashed others)? Does the app crash if your non-global launch behaviour is removed? Many apps carry out installation checks when first installed. These can sometimes work fine on the simulator but fail on certain devices.
