I bet you have already checked this, but sometimes compilers put the .exe in a debug 
folder. I tried all the GNU compiler before and couldn't get it working either. I also 
dislike very much the code window, makefiles, etc... I installed CW and had th 
eexample running on my Clie in about 20 mins... after days of fooling with the 
other...good luck
