Pilrc is just the resource compiler, not a tool to create a rcp file. If the rcp file uses keywords not supported by an old pilrc version, pilrc would give you an error about unexpected keywords. I don't know the reason for your error, but it seems that CodeWarrior has some big problems with too much or too long pathes. Try to modify the path settings of your project. Especially if you use a project file from someone else, you easily see weird errors about pilrc not found etc. in CodeWarrior.

There is no need for converting .rcp to .rsrc, Codewarrior supports both. The
error probably be the fact that your current PilRc version is newer than that
sample was created. Try opeing the .rcp file alone, you may get a version
incompatibility error[not too sure though..]. If that is the error, just
recreate the same rcp file with your pilrc version supported, and it will work

Subject: PilRC Compiler Adapter

Hi ,
I am getting the following message when I tried to compile a sample app from
the net:

"Cannot find PilRC Compiler Adapter".

I do have the PilRC.dll tool putin under the plugins folder on my Code Warrior
Installation. As far as I have read , this dll is a plugin for Code warrior that
helps to recreate a .rsrc file from a .rcp file. (Correct me if I'm wrong!).
I'm using Palm OS 5 SDK.

Any insight?
Has anybody come across this error before?
did a search on the net for this error ,but with no success..
SOS!

Mable.
