And your point is??? It doesn't do voice recording or have a vibrator or take pictures or do landscape or dynamic input area or SD memory or (insert favorite feature here) either. So what? This is a color, OS5 based entry level device for under $100 USD retail. Consider the target market for the device. Show me a competing product which is under $100 USD which comes close to what the Zire 22 can do for a newbie. And what is the entry level price for a Pocket PC device? >- Tungsten E2 > 1. It has very many bugs with NVFS. While some developers have coomplained about NVFS, it has never been a problem for me. In fact just the opposite, and yes I use multi-MB databases as well. I absolutely love the fact the data finally persists across complete discharges of the battery. It is what consumers expect of a device now, and I don't fault them for that. > 2. SDIO slot can't emulate Serial interface. So, many third-party SD devices >(e.g. SD Barcode scanners) don't work with TE2. I wasn't aware of that. But speaking fo which, is there realy a SD barcode scanner with actually works ok? I anxiously awaited the release of the Socket SDIO scanner but was grossly disappointed in its performance, or shall I say lack thereof. It seemed unsable for anything but casual scanning under ideal conditions. >Our company have written many Palm OS applications. >But it seems that we go to develop with Pocket PC in future. Do what you want. But what $99 USD model of Pocket PC do you expect to have TCP/IP connectivity? And have you noticed how many Pocket PC models are listed as having compatibility issues with the Socket SD Scan Card 3E scanner? Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
