Sasha,
If there are a few bugs with NVFS why previous devices take out of
production (e.g. Tungsten E)?
I think you can still get a Tungsten C, and I don't know for sure,
but I think the Zire 31 and 72 don't have NVFS either.
Nope, all three of those models have been taken off the palm.com
web site. They now have only 5 Palm OS models: Zire 22, Tungsten E2,
TX, LifeDrive, and Treo 650. The Zire 72 was a great device -- well
built, good display, decent camera, recent OS, fairly fast processor,
decent memory, headphone jack, and low cost, but they've axed it.
They've even axed the T5 and replaced it with the TX, which is a shame
since the T5 had an internal flash volume that was accessible by USB.
I really don't understand why they've cut so many relatively recent
models when they haven't brought out anything to replace them with,
but I suppose one answer is that they are intentionally trying to
get rid of everything that isn't NVFS-based, since they see it as
superior (which it is in one way). I don't know -- maybe they will
bring out a few new Palm OS models to fill out the product line a
bit, which would be a good move, in my opinion.
