In the mid '70's, 29 Palms was a near ghost town.  It's had quite a bit of 
growth in the last 15 or so years, as the Marine Corps has moved more 
functions to the Base here.  I Worked in the auto repair industry in 29 
Palms for a few years, and can only think of one or two businesses that are 
still around from that era.

Where did you go to high school?
