As ?Bond car the Hornet wasn't fancy. But they were fairly tough and hoped up well. Hey, it did make the corkscrew jump.

The car was awesome. One of the things I liked about the early Bond novels was the detail Fleming went into about the cars. His description of Bond's pre-WWII Bentley was my introduction to the marque, and I thought it was cool that Felix Leiter's car in the early books was a '30's vintage Cord. These are a far cry from Astons and Lotus' of the movies, or the Saab 900T that John Gardner had him driving in his Bond books of the early '80's. The worst Bond car ever? The AMC Hornet in The Man With The Golden Gun. Yuk!
